1-for-1 match to aid Manchester Symphony Orchestra

Manchester Symphony Orchestra (MSO) supporters can double their contributions to its endowment through a 1-for-1 endowment matching opportunity administered by the Community Foundation of Wabash County.

Donations given through December 31, 2022, will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $50,000. This opportunity was made possible through a generous donor.

“The MSO is pleased and grateful for this endowment matching opportunity created by a donor who cares deeply about our mission and our work,” said Beth Driscoll, president of the Manchester Symphony Society. “I give thanks to all our patrons and supporters who continue to make MSO a treasured organization in this community and the surrounding region!”

The Manchester Symphony Orchestra Endowment supports the mission, community outreach, and operations of the symphony orchestra.

If you would like to make a donation to the endowment that is eligible for the 1-to-1 match, go to the “Donors” tab at cfwabash.org, or write a check made out to the Community Foundation of Wabash County with MSO Endowment in the memo line. The foundation address is 220 E Main St, North Manchester IN 46962.

“The Manchester Symphony Orchestra (MSO) has long been enriching the lives of residents in and around Wabash County through music performances, education, and outreach. As the MSO enters its 84th season, the organization continues to seek and form new partnerships, build relationships, and offer innovative programming,” the community foundation said in a statement.

The opening concert of the season is October 9 in Cordier Auditorium on the North Manchester, Indiana, campus of Manchester University. It features “Peter and the Wolf” by Sergei Prokofiev, “Overture to King Arthur” by Henry Purcell, “Chofki’ (Sarcasm for String Orchestra and Percussion)” by Chickasaw composer Jerod Impichchaachaaha’ Tate, and the “Mother Goose (Ma Mère l’Oye) Suite” by Maurice Ravel.
