87th Season Announced

Our 87th season showcases both familiar showpieces and more esoteric works. We begin with Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony, followed by William Mathias’ Piano Concerto No. 2 featuring guest artist-in-residence Andrew Nesler. Next, we have two choral pieces, Conte’s “Elegy for Matthew” and Charpentier’s “Te Deum” (scroll down if you want to sing!), and we wrap up the season with the world premiere of Warren & Flick’s concerto for bass and nyckelharpa.

It’s back! We’ll perform with the MSO on the March 8, 2026, concert, singing “Elegy for Matthew” by David Conte and “Te Deum” by Marc-Antoine Charpentier. Weekly rehearsals begin January 27. Click below to sign up!

The Manchester Symphony Orchestra serves to produce high quality musical performances, engage in local and regional outreach, and to enrich the cultural lives of its patrons.

The MSO was founded in 1939 through a partnership with the citizens of Wabash County and then Manchester College. We strive to be a core component of the rich culture of performing arts in North Manchester, Wabash County, and regional communities. To that end:

  • We will reach out to the community and local schools where possible

  • We will seek new and innovative partnerships

  • We will seek broader sources of support to sustain these initiatives

  • We will sustain our close relationship with Manchester University, both in North Manchester and in Fort Wayne.

As the MSO moves into the future, its members and its supporters in the Manchester Symphony Society can assert "The MSO and its supporters make a difference in the cultural and economic health of the region."

Sponsor Music or An Orchestra Chair

The music for each concert can be very expensive. We count on members of the community to underwrite the costs of each piece. Do you have a favorite composer? Do you like holiday music? Or do you just want to help with the costs of music rental? This is the chance for you to sponsor a piece of music that the MSO will perform in concert. Your name will be printed on the sponsor page and on the main program page. Co-sponsoring is allowed and encouraged.

Meet the Musicians

The MSO would not be thriving as we are without the wonderful support from our donors! By becoming a patron of the Manchester Symphony Society, you have an opportunity to show how much you appreciate what we do. The MSO's Business Partners enable the Orchestra to maintain the highest standards of artistic excellence. They nurture our county's future by supporting learning, access, and training programs for youth.
